Kellie's Story
Our owner and director, Kellie Simpson, started the business in 2018. Having worked in the legal sector for over 22 years, Kellie has an incredibly in-depth knowledge of the workings of law firms and the support legal professionals need. During her career she has worked in small, medium and large sized law firms both in the UK and Asia, supporting busy legal professionals at all levels from trainee to senior partner.
Kellie established the business to offer virtual assistant services specifically tailored to the legal sector. Because she knew the legal world, its terminology and processes, Kellie was able to provide a level of VA support that legal clients found invaluable.
Expanding The Business
The business grew rapidly and in 2021 Kellie took on her first associate, Nicola. Since then, the business has continued to expand, taking on more experienced associates. Each member of the team is an accomplished professional in their area of expertise, bringing skills that can help your law firm to grow and thrive.
Today, Kellie Simpson Virtual Business Support is a thriving limited company with a large team of associates available to help with admin and business support, specialist legal support, customer relationship management (CRM), marketing and more.
Due to demand, the areas of expertise have expanded to also cover the medical, property and financial sectors.
Kellie’s passion for the work continues to grow in step with the business. She loves working with clients and meets regularly with them to ensure they are happy with the services they receive. She also works with clients on improving their onboarding processes and is a Clio Affiliate Partner.

NICK
Nick is a qualified marketer (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and copywriter. He specialises in:

- Email marketing and social media
When he’s not writing marketing copy, Nick continues to be creative with words and is the author of four books.
NICOLA
Nicola is a positive, caring and highly organised Virtual Legal Assistant with a history of providing exceptional levels of administration and project support at executive & senior management level.
She is a great communicator, adaptable & committed – and having worked in a variety of industries including law, education, utilities and insurance.
Nicola brings a wealth of experience to the team and also supports Kellie as her PA as well as vital holiday cover for the team.
JACQUELINE
Jackie brings more than 35 years of secretarial, PA and administrative experience, more than 20 of which have been supporting legal professionals. Jackie specialises in:
– Complex document work
– Virtual minute taking
– Audio transcription
Away from work her passions are travel and live music events.
TRACEY
Tracey is a professional Medical and Legal PA with over 20 years experience. She offers fast and efficient secretarial support to busy entrepreneurs and business owners:

CHERYL
Cheryl is a kind & friendly VA who has 18 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary/PA supporting many lawyers & partners at senior level. Her main skills are:

Cheryl is a Mum of boys and when she is not working, she is out having fun with her family or socialising with friends.
FABIENNE
Fabienne is a highly experienced legal PA/EA with over 12 years’ experience but has reached out to support other sectors such as Property and Tech.
Fabienne has also worked as a Paralegal supporting teams with promotional work, reviewing T&C’s and guidance on ASA rulings and implications. Fabienne has also supported the Employment department in collating tribunal bundles and witness statements. Fabienne is also supporting firms with Companies House filings.

MAGGIE
Maggie has spent the last 15 years working in the legal industry but has a diverse background across a range of sectors, including but not limited to, sports, public relations, marketing, and events. The skills she has picked up over the years are invaluable and enable her to provide a specialised service to all clients.

Her happy place is the dance floor – she has competed since a child in Ballroom competitions. Mum to two amazing daughters, three precious grandchildren, and her family, although spread in several countries globally, is her world!
KATRYNA
Katryna is a Business Development Coordinator with over 25 years’ support experience in both the public and private sectors.
After spending almost 15 years supporting BD, marketing and communications professionals and partners in international law firms, she now focuses on helping law firms smaller in size, supporting them with their business development plans, processes and administration.
When she’s not ferrying around her sport’s mad daughter, Katryna is a bit of a foodie and loves to bake and cook, preferably whilst watching rugby!

Jacqui
Jacqui’s career spans over 30 years in legal support roles. She has worked alongside director lawyers in family, PI, litigation and property.
Her caring nature means she is well suited to supporting clients and providing reassurance. Jacqui also specialises in formatting documents, audio transcription and is experienced in all areas of legal support.
Jacqui also enjoys working with a variety of companies including surveyors, PR agencies, software companies as well as multi-national companies providing admin support, working on research projects, managing databases and any other tasks that arise. Jacqui enjoys a challenge!
Claire
Claire is a highly experienced PA and Secretary with over 24 years of expertise spanning various industries, including finance, property, medical, education, and law. Known for her motivation and dedication, Claire offers professional and private support as a Virtual Assistant, having worked extensively at the Board Level.

When she's not assisting clients, Claire enjoys adventurous trips with her husband and son in their VW camper.
A fun fact about Claire is that she completed the London Marathon in 2019, finishing in 5 hours and 15 minutes.
Joanne
With over 30 years of experience as a secretary, administrator, and personal assistant, Jo brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her role.
Holding a law degree, Jo has wide experience spanning various departments and areas of law. Her work during, and after her degree, took her from small country two-person offices to large city-centre commercial firms, providing her with a broad understanding of legal personnel and the ways in which they work.
Specialising primarily in family law, Jo spent over four years as a paralegal in a city centre practice in the north of England. During this time, she managed her own straightforward divorce and contact cases, secured Non-Molestation Orders, and supported the department director with his extensive Public Law caseload. Her responsibilities included attending case conferences, expert meetings, and court hearings, alongside drafting briefs for counsel and taking client statements.
Jo has five children, and her interests include watching sports with her large extended family, walking her dogs, and reading and writing.
Monica
Monica helps solopreneurs and small businesses brand themselves effectively and work efficiently so they can save time, attract more new customers, and retain existing ones.
She has been an entrepreneur herself since 2017, bringing a wide skillset and high level of experience to her virtual assistance clients. In 2022, Monica became a Horkey HandBook Certified VA, a qualification that has supplemented her own entrepreneurial knowledge.
Monica can free up her clients’ time seamlessly and offer useful insights as a fellow entrepreneur who understands how important their businesses are to them.

Tilly is the longest-running member of the team, joined by Albert a year later - they play very important roles and guard the house ensuring high-level security is in place at all times. In their spare time, they love training, playing with toys and lots and lots of love and attention.
