Happy 8️⃣ Birthday to Kellie Simpson Legal 🎉🥳 To think I’ve been running a business for EIGHT years 🙌🏻 where has the time gone!! When I think back to those earlier years… 🔹 Starting out as Kellie Simpson Virtual Assistant 🔹 Sitting in my original office and going out networking in Wiltshire 🔹 Starting as an associate working for @itscatherinegladwyn - she really was such a key influence to me getting started, and helps so many VAs still to this day. 🔹 Tilly arrived in 2019, has been with me for pretty much all of my business life! 🔹 Doing my first brand shoot and loving it - wearing pink trousers for the first time ever and now love colour - thanks to @alwaysafashionparade 🔹 I decided to become an expert in asana… not sure I’d give myself that title now, but do still use the tool. 🔹 I didn’t start out helping lawyers despite my legal career… that soon changed when COVID hit and has been mega busy ever since. Niching has been key to my success. 🔹 I hired my first associate Nicola in Jan 2021 and many have joined (and left) the team since. 🔹 Spoke at my first legal conference (still not sure public speaking is for me!!) 🔹 Attended many client events - love my clients. 🔹 Treated my team to afternoon tea 🔹 Moved back to Devon and into a new office 🔹 Rebranded and did a second photoshoot. With so much growth and expansion recently, a brand relaunch is on the way so watch this space!!! Here’s to many more amazing years as a founder, director, CEO, entrepreneur - I’ll call myself all of them 🥰
If I had to name one law firm who knows how to thr If I had to name one law firm who knows how to throw a bloody good party it would be Loney Stewart Holland LLP 🎉🥂 I’ve been attending their annual party most years as it’s always so nice to be in a room full of legal experts in the South West; lawyers, barristers, legal suppliers etc. But last night was particularly special… The partners are celebrating their 1️⃣0️⃣ year anniversary. They had a band, drinks were flowing… shots came out (as I knew they would 😂) and, as always, a chance to spend time catching up with so many familiar faces who are well known to the firm in one way or another. I only did the 1 shot this year… 😂 I absolutely LOVE being a part of the legal community, knowing so many people and feeling a part of an industry that is full of some amazing wonderful people. I spent time with friends, clients and bumped into old work colleagues… and people I know through my old work from when I used to work in Bristol,,, the legal world is a small place, especially here in the SW!
A wholesome 24 hours in London - done ✔️🇬🇧 My first trip to London this year to meet up with team members and clients. Firstly, meeting one of my newest team members, Molly Rixon for a wine... I’ve also trained Molly up to support with one of my longest standing clients Seven Legal so invited her along to meet everyone. We met up with Bill Cogan and the SL team for a very boozy and fun evening - lots of yummy Mexican food @fondarestaurant . My head wasn’t thanking me yesterday though after all the champagne and cocktails!! 🥴 I also met up with one of my team, Margaret De Villiers for breakfast. Maggie has been a part of the team for over 4 years and I LOVE working with her - always a pleasure. And to end a busy 24hrs, I met with my friend and now client Robert Flint of Adviserly with his newest team member, Shamul. Feel so super grateful that my work has brought all these people into my life and they are all genuinely lovely people to spend time with (both on a business and personal level) 💛 Now.... it’s time for a super chilled weekend back in Devon in the countryside and fresh air 😇☺️ @molly_rixon
A new chapter is taking shape at Kellie Simpson Le A new chapter is taking shape at Kellie Simpson Legal 🚀. We’re giving our Clio consultancy work the dedicated focus it deserves. Clio support isn’t completely new to us. As an official Clio partner, I’ve been helping law firms with the platform for several years. But as enquiries continued to come in, one thing became very clear: Law firms don’t simply need someone who understands the software. They need someone who understands how a law firm actually works. So I’m delighted to be developing this area alongside Carrie Darby. Carrie brings experience in operations, workflows, project delivery and training. I bring around 25 years of legal-sector experience, knowledge of how firms operate and my expertise as an official Clio partner. Together, we’re building a dedicated consultancy service combining the technology with the people and processes behind it. Because paying for Clio and having it work properly for your firm are two very different things. You may already have Clio, but: • people open the same type of matter differently • tasks rely on someone remembering what happens next • client information is entered more than once • documents are created from old client files • your team still relies on inboxes, spreadsheets and workarounds • you suspect Clio could be doing far more That doesn’t necessarily mean you chose the wrong system. Often, it means the system was set up without enough time being spent understanding how the firm really works. We can help with new implementations, existing setups, Clio Grow and client onboarding, workflows, custom fields, matter and document templates, integrations, team training and ongoing optimisation. We don’t start by throwing features at you. We start by understanding your firm, your people and what is making their working day harder than it needs to be. 💎 finding the hidden gems are key to building a 💎 finding the hidden gems are key to building a successful business. I’ve been very fortunate over the years to find some incredible team members. I truly am so grateful. Last year a DM landed in my inbox from @carriedarby_hq saying she’d listened to my podcast episode with @itscatherinegladwyn and was so inspired she had to reach out. I remember thinking how lovely it was to take the time to message me and not only that, Carrie also lived in Devon, has a dog, and loves the gym - already so much in common. We met for lunch and shared a few ideas of how we could potentially work together. It’s been months of staying in contact and me being ready to spend the time training Carrie to help me with the growing Clio workload. Carrie came over to my house this week for a strategy day. We’ve got so many ideas in the pipeline for the Clio projects, she’s equally as invested and as excited as I am! So watch this space for what’s to come! An absolute dream team, we also kicked about and had a mini photoshoot. So happy to welcome Carrie into the team 💛
