Today is National Fitness Day 🏋️‍♀️ and Today is National Fitness Day 🏋️‍♀️ and I'm all over this one as you know me, I LOVEEEEE the gym. For me, strength isn’t just about what happens in the gym. Lifting weights taught me something far bigger: 💪🏻 The power of being STRONG in business, too. When I first started my VA business, those early years felt pretty chaotic; long hours, saying yes to everything, no processes, running on empty. Over time, I realised the exact same qualities I was building in the gym; - discipline - structure - resilience - growth were the ones I also needed to build a business that was sustainable, profitable, and gave me freedom. I came across a post last night by Dr James DiNicolantonio that sums the gym up perfectly: "Let the gym be your addiction. Get hooked on self-discipline. The peace after a hard hit. Becoming stronger, inside & out. When skipping a workout feels wrong, you’ve built a lifestyle. One that most people wish they had the willpower to maintain." So me!! That’s why strength has become a core part of my brand, and it’s why I've created my S.T.R.O.N.G Framework for my new service.... which I couldnt wait any longer to announce.... 🎉 I'm launching my very own VA Mentoring & Coaching Service This new service is aimed at ambitious, focused and motivated VAs who are ready to scale their business. 🔥 This is the energy I want every VA I mentor to feel. I've got my copywriter and PA's helping me with a variation of tasks but it ultimately comes down to me to plan and map everything out, work on the processes, provide the structure and bullets for content, assign the tasks and manage these. Oh blimey, so much to do and I'm such a perfectionist and like to have all the structure in place before anything - it's that element of organisation as let's face it, it's kinda my job and who I am, so telling you now and then not having the systems and process in place would just be silly. But can I just say how exciting and frigging amazing it is to have the FIRE back for my business 🔥 2024 was the hardest year for me. Some personal challenges and heartbreak which were (and still are at times) very hard to deal with. I went through a stage of wondering whether I should give it all up and go back to employment, as surely it would be easier. But NO WAY was I giving up everything I've built. Almost at my 7 year milestone and the business really is going so well and it's awesome working with my coaches (yes I have 2) and putting new ideas and goals in place. So anyways, back to the all important launch THIS WEEK, promise I'll put you out of your misery.... now I have my email sequence up and running! I was overcome with a huge rush of emotion and pri I was overcome with a huge rush of emotion and pride yesterday. 🥰✨👏🏻🤍 Watching my sister in law, Emma, talk about her new book “Breaking Waves” at The Appledore Book Festival and hosted by the wonderful Royal George. Appledore is such a special place for me as it’s where my grandad lived all his life, my mum grew up, and where I have so many childhood memories. Emma first introduced me to the book festival last year… this very one in Appledore (can’t believe I’d never been) - saying she hoped that ‘next year’ she might be here talking about her new book. To sit and watch this vision become a reality yesterday was just magical. She absolutely smashed it 🙌🏻 But not only that: tickets sold out within a day, there was a waiting list, books were a sell out yesterday and so many women left feeling totally inspired and connected with Emma’s story. Emma is very VERY talented when it comes to writing. Her words just seem to flow and not only when writing her book, I saw yesterday that she’s also very talented when it comes to speaking and engaging an audience and I just know that the next vision will not just be Emma’s next book, but big speaking events. Something you probably didn’t know about me is that I’m a HUGE trance fan. From the age of 18 when I started going clubbing to over the years festivals, dance events, Ibiza, A State of Trance - this genre of music has always had my heart. I’m usually one for having music on in the house, having a dance around, so when this tune came on… one of my faves, I thought hey - let’s make a fun post today - a behind the scenes of me and something different to the usual business and gym posts!! Hope everyone has the happiest Friday - my fave day of the week.
You've decided to outsource, You've finally take You've decided to outsource, You've finally taken the plunge and..... You've hired a VIRTUAL ASSISTANT (VA) 🙌🏻 BUT..... This doesn't mean that everything is magically going to be super organised now and you can sit back. Oh no! Your VA doesn't know: ❌ you yet ❌ your business yet ❌ the team yet and their roles ❌ your processes or procedures ❌ where to find things ❌ your movements / likes / dislikes ❌ what tools and systems you use, how to log in, might never have used the tool before. So in order to ensure you set your new VA up for success here are some tips: ✅ Planning - plan what they will help with - plan regular catch ups - plan out training sessions - plan out how you will share tasks / communicate etc - plan to introduce them to the rest of the team / to let the team know what "they" can delete ✅ Clear Responsibilities - ensure they know their role - who does what? - who can they reach out to if help required? ✅ Documentation - provide SOP's or plan that creating these will be an upcoming project - provide template documents - provide training materials (if available) ✅ Communication - how will you communicate and delegate tasks / projects - day to day communication - communication through the team ✅ Trust & Teamwork - when all of the above is in place, the relationship will grow, strengthen and flourish You'll soon find your Virtual Assistant a vital part of your business.
