✋🏻Saying NO to new work - oh my, hasn't it go ✋🏻Saying NO to new work - oh my, hasn't it got to be one of the toughest things to do when running a business?? When I started my business I don't think I ever could have imagined turning a new work opportunity down. I was so focused on winning clients and establishing myself that I said 'yes' to some jobs that probably weren't the best fit. Almost 6 years on and over the last couple of weeks I've had to turn new work away. Why? Because it's not the right time. I'm being sensible. With one of my associates leaving recently and having to find new team members to support her clients, I've also taken on one of her Clio projects. I love working so closely with clients, but this is a big project that is taking a lot of time. So, when 2 new Clio enquiries came in this week, plus a new law firm I had to say no. Here's why that was such a positive decision: 👍🏻 I've learned not to overload or overwhelm myself by taking on too much. 👍🏻 If I'd taken this on, it would impact my existing Clio work, instead, I'm prioritising current clients over new ones. 👍🏻 Our Australia trip is just around the corner, this way I'm not adding in difficult deadlines or stress before a much-needed break. 👍🏻 My team is now at capacity. Sometimes, turning down work really is the best thing to do so for now, our doors are closed until June. Have you had to turn work away?

You know it was an awesome event when you’re sti You know it was an awesome event when you’re still on a high 2 days later.... 
I spent Wednesday morning in Bristol with a small group of women for an International Women’s Day event and WOW, just WOW 🥰
 I always love @sixdegreescommunity events, all the ladies are just soooo warm, friendly and welcoming and Wednesday was probably the best one yet. I absolutely loved it. 
The room was full of so much energy and happiness. 
 *SPEAKERS* We were joined by @libi_loves, who shared her investment journey. 
The vibrant and lovely @klloydcreative delivered a workshop on branding.
 Fleur Christacos shared her 26 years in business running a hugely successful online lingerie brand @fleurofengland 
We finished the morning with a breath work session with @thewellbeinghubwld ... and we all got on our feet and had a little dance - possibly my favourite part 💃🏼 
For me it’s so important to take time away from my desk and what better way than heading to my favourite city with one of my best friends @mandehlou . 
Sharing this business journey with her and getting to attend events like this together is so special. 
As women, we’re always there for each other, supporting each other, mentoring each other and we are always happy for each others successes and wins. 
Building a business has shown me... that I really do embrace my female community and I really have met some wonderful, beautiful, strong and resilient women along the way ☺️
